Recommended "nice weather" route:
Mostly back roads, but this as the crow flies route is actually much less driving time than taking the thruway.

1) Tapenzee Bridge (Interstate Route 87 North) to Kingston Exit 19
2) Route 28W
Which Turns into
3) Route 28N straight into Cooperstown
(In Oneonta it becomes Interstate 88 for 2 Exits)
4) Follow 28N into the Village of Cooperstown and cross over the railroad tracks.
From here you are only half a mile from downtown.
5) 28 will merge into 80, follow 80 to the one and only traffic light in town.
6) At the light is Main St., take a right onto Main St.
7) Go down Main St. one block until you see a big flagpole in the center of the street
8) Take a left around the flagpole and we will be immediately on your left hand side.


Regular route:
1) 87 North (Thruway) to Catskill Exit 21
2) Route 23 West to Oneonta
3) Route 28 North straight into Cooperstown.
4) 28 will merge into 80, follow 80 to the one and only traffic light in town.
5) At the light is Main St., take a right onto Main St.
6) Go down Main St. one block until you see a big flagpole in the center of the street
7) Take a left around the flagpole and we will be on your left hand side.

Fastest and most direct route:
1) From Albany, NY, I-90 West to I-88 West,
2) Take Exit 17 which will put you on Route 28 North (1/2 hour drive to Cooperstown)
3) Follow 28N into the Village of Cooperstown and cross over the railroad tracks. From here you are only half a mile from downtown.
4) 28 will merge into 80, Follow 80 to the one and only traffic light in town.
5) At the light is Main St., take a right onto Main St.
6) Go down Main St. one block until you see a big flagpole in the center of the street

Slower, more scenic route:
1) Exit 24A off of 88 at Duanesburg
2) Route 20 West to Springfield Center
3) Left onto Route 80 West and straight into Cooperstown.
4) Right onto Pioneer Street. 
The TUNNICLIF INN is at the end of the block on your right, next to the Park.

2) Left onto Chestnut Street.
3) Turn right at only traffic light in town onto Main Street.
